Description

The Meril Merizelle Woven Hemostat, sized 1 x 1inch (ORC W11), is a sterile, absorbable knitted fabric designed for effective hemostasis in general surgical procedures. It is specifically indicated for controlling capillary, venous, and small arterial hemorrhage when ligation or other conventional methods of control are impractical or ineffective. This hemostat is prepared by the controlled oxidation of regenerated cellulose, containing 95–100% oxygenated regenerated cellulose and 0-5% water. The MERIZELLE™ Woven variant features a densely weaved structured oxidized regenerated cellulose material, providing enhanced strength for managing heavier bleeding. It is absorbed within 1-2 weeks if left in place, or typically within 7 to 14 days, minimizing the need for removal. Meril Merizelle Absorbable Hemostat is a sterile product, ensuring safe application in surgical settings. It meets all the requirements for Oxidized regenerated cellulose established by the United States Pharmacopeia (U.S.P.).
