• This drape is used for all kinds of Spinal surgeries & Laminectomies etc.
• Almost all special drapes are made of 2 layers. The top layer is of non woven fabric and the bottom layer is of plastic sheet. The top layer gives the surgeon a comfortable feel and soft draping whereas the bottom layer gives complete protection from fluid penetration. Most of the special drapes give you level 4 protection as per ANSI/AAMI standards and High-performance critical area protection as per Europen Union standards.
• The thread used to sew the drapes is coated with a water-repellant coating. It resists the passage of fluid from the patient to the surgeon’s side & vice versa. Normal absorbent thread absorbing ink and passing to another side.
• Holes in drapes are cut using laser. The laser makes very clean-cut holes without fraying of edges.
• Drapes are made on automatic machines.
• Drapes are made in controlled environment. Lesser chances of foreign body contamination.
